Programme Note

This was a wedding present for two members of The Fires of London: evidently a marriage of virtuosos. The first movement is an Allegro with a slow introduction and a very quick end, filled with high trills, brilliant figuration and dancing exuberance for the violinist. After this there is a short, effervescent Presto and finally a Lullaby.
