• Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Dona nobis pacem is a 65-bar setting of these three words. Appropriatley, a strong minimalist influence is discernible with the use of multiple ostinato and pedal points as well as shifting rhythmic accentuation. This rather hypnotic work, set for SSAA without accompaniment, was first performed on 4 February 2011 at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
